Testing Alerting and Notifications

To ensure proper setup and functionality of your notification settings in Temperstack, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Temperstack Notification and select Application Service.

  2. In the Actions column, locate and click on the Bell icon (Test Notification).

  3. The bell icon allows you to verify your notification settings by sending a test alert through your configured channels, such as email, Slack, and voice.

When you receive the test alert, you will be prompted to take one of the following actions:

  1. Acknowledge: Confirm that you have received and are aware of the alert.

  2. Resolve: Indicate that you have addressed and resolved the issue.

  3. Escalate: Forward the alert to the On-Call Policies for further action if necessary.

Note: Notifications will not be resent if a test alert is currently open.
